Sports Hybrid tips

I am trying to produce a short list of 5 sports hybrid bikes and 5 road bikes(sportive type) with the eventual aim of making a buying decision around about December/January sale time. Once I have my short lists, I will carry out more detailed research etc, but there are simply too many to seriously consider hence the short lists.

So far, I have tentatively included;

Boardman Hybrid Team
Giant Escape 0
Cannondale Quick Speed 1

and would be happy to receive any obsevations on those choices together with other suggestions.

I hope to spend in the region of £500-£750 hopefully on a bike with a current higher price tag.

    For the top end of your budget I'd be looking at the Giant Rapid 2 rather than the Escape 0, as it is more akin to the Aluxx SL framed Defy Endurance bike, though has a triple chainset.

    Thanks - looks interesting and have added to my shortlist, maybe to replace the Escape 0

    Boardman is £675 today. IF you can reserve it and pay in store and if you have a BC card then you can take another £67 off that.
