Just booked 2 weeks camping in Südtirol. Anyone been? What are the best maps for cycling in the area?
Something like the Michelin Local series in France, so a 1/150,000 scale

The best general map for road cycling in that area is the 1:200,000 Touring Club Italiano map for Trentino-Alto-Adige. Look for the roads marked as scenic.
If you are going to the Dolomites (eg Corvara/Alta Badia) then you might want to check out the Tabacco map of the area which has a 'panoramic' view as well as a conventional road map.
The best bet for 1:50,000 maps would be the Kompass maps. These include bike routes but the 1:50,000 aren't topographic. Kompass are a local company so their distribution is excellent and you'll find their maps everywhere. you can get them in the uk from themapshops.co.uk (URL from memory so it may not work).
There is another local company that makes decent maps, but I can't remember their name - sorry.
There are some excellent cycleways in that area - the Vinschgau Radweg, the Brenner Radweg and the Pusterbike. These provide an essential alternative to some busy roads (especially the road to the Brenner Pass). There's more information about these on my site (link in the signature).
