The fork is no good for 'proper' mountain biking, it would be nicer with a rigid fork.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

It's gonna cost 200 and tbh it's just to build fitness up and family rides I know forks are crap on it but could upgrade if I get more serious about riding

How old and it what condition? That's a lot to pay for a bike of that spec, I'd look for a Kraken or Fury instead (Carrera), they usually come in at about that price.

    It's never worth £200

Well that is subjective, if it's almost as new it probably is worth that, but not for anyone who wants to go offroad.

Hi all went back today and lbs had sold it after saying they would keep it for me but that's life lol he tried to sell me a Scott aspect for 500 but has it in his website for 399 went to a different lbs and they had a gt Avalanche sport for 400 2015 and a specialized rockhopper disc 2007 which I notice had the better spec not sure on price as didn't have a tag on and he never told me had a ride on both I prefer the rockhopper as it's got the better spec and felt the right size but the man seems to think ill be better of with the gt but it felt to big being a xl I'm about 6'1 the only thing I didn't like about the rockhopper was the handle bars felt a bit to narrow but I could always change these roughly how much would you pay for the rockhopper

At your budget you are better off going to Halfords and looking at their Carrera bikes or the Rockrider bikes in Decathlon .
Budget bikes from big brands like Specialized, GT, Scott, Trek etc are generally not good for the price, you are paying for the name.

Halfords seem to be having a lots of 1 day sales at the moment so it's worth checking everyday just to see what's on offer.

Other then that you could try looking at the VooDoo vane of bikes at Halfords

    http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes?partnumber=150585,150239,150270,150312,150353,150395,150437,150478,150494,150551&sort=price-low-to-high&cm_re=10cms+slides-_-Slide+1-_-fullvoodoorange

Maybe a little more then you were wanting to pay, but if you join the British cycling club you get 10% off at Halfords... Although this might only be worth it if your going to spend a fair bit.
