It appears that everywhere is sold out of the Road Logic in my size 
So, anyone recommend something similar in price and performance that I can replace it with.
My next option was the Volare 853, but I just can't help but feel its second best...
Steel/Alloy/Carbon all considered - would love Ti but just cant stretch the £££ to get one.

Gutted to hear that Rowlers. What size do you need? This Kinesis GF Ti looks good in the BR classifieds, if 55.5 frame fits...

Tempted, but I've already got the groupset, with calipers. My next disk bike will be full hydro when they come down in price...0

I'm starting to lean toward either the Kinesis 4s or the Aithein. The 4s has a longer top tube but taller head tube, there doesn't appear to be much else in it.
Anyone ridden both/either and can comment on the comfort of either frame. The biggest tyres I'm likely to use are 25mm, will the Aithein accomodate 25mm?

Well I've owned the original Racelight Tk, the ancestor of the 4S, for 8 years now. Originally it was my only bike, so ridden all year round, mudguards coming off if there was a summer. 25mm GP4 Seasons / chromoplastic guards. Brilliant all weather bike, still a very lively frame. Still puts a smile on my face when I ride it in the wet, and I'm just as fast (or slow) on the Tk as on my CR1.
In evolving into the 4S it has acquired a tapered and slightly taller headtube, but still with the long top tube so I imagine it still rides like a race bike. It also has a better carbon fork.
If I was forced again to have just one bike I think the carbon one would go...0 -

Mudguard mounts front and rear. Threaded BSA BB which is also a plus factor in my mind. Not overly keen on the colour but a good price. Full RRP is normally north of £1K0 -

Equilibrium? there's a couple of the disc version on that Paul Milne Ebay site...
If I was starting from scratch on a medium budget I'd be torn between the 4S and the Equilibrium. I'd not bother with discs cos I do so little braking and don't mix with traffic in the wet like a commuter.0 -

Would appear that newer versions of the frame are designed for "long-drop" calipers accprding to this PBK ad.

So perhaps if you can source an earlier incarnation, it would be OK with standard calipers. However - not the end oif the world if you have to sell on the standards and buy some long drop versions0 -
@arlowood, I realise that they are designed for long drops, but Kinesis' FAQs suggest their road frames will work with any caliper, up 25mm tyre with guards and long drops 28mm tyres with guards.
I've emailed Kinesis so I'll see what they say...0 -

That's it, sorted.
Decided against discs as I'd have needed a new wheelset.
I've ordered a Deda Acciaio, should be here Wednesday.
Will post pics when it's built.0
