    It's 1.5 metres here.

    Cyclist also have to leave a 1.5metre space when passing parked cars.

    It's different there... the typical "high street" in a small American Town is as wide as the M25. Yet, they manage to have traffic jams and all of that... probably because everybody is towing an extra car just in case... :wink:
