Well, in the spirit of the last stage of the race, how about a gentle wind down chat before Black Monday when we will have nothing to fill our afternoons with?

Pleasantly surprised to get lots of ptp points (for me) thanks to Stevie K and perhaps Holfand today.

Thrilling stage race. 'I absolutely loved that'. Top 5 for Hejsdal, a two-wheeled one-man band. If Wilco is as good as Kruijswijk, that's another Tour podium contender. Shades of what might have been from Uran at the end.

Tinkoff's Occupy grupetto protest saved the race. Contador would have won in a procesion without the pressure from Astana, and Amador(!) was +5 mins to Landa.

ICYMI. Yesterday, Coledan stopped before the finishing line to wait for Kluge, in order to finish last overall. #Giro

I'm enjoying a steak and beer about 200m from the finish line. Some of you will be heartened to know that a couple of tables away there is young Italian boy (about 7) proudly wearing his Sky jersey.

    Critérium du Dauphiné .

I *was* going to go with TRFKalDL, but thought that would be a bit too cryptic.

Tinkov just walked past me and he looks like he dipped his head in a can of paint. I didn't take a photo because that'swhat he wants me to do.

Rush up to him with a replica gun and demand he take it as a present to honour 'el pistolero'...

Brett Lancaster just had a puncture right in front of me. Hepburn gave him a wheel. I resisted telling them to save it for Richie Porte.

Is that the bike to use on this stage to avoid having punctures like everyone else?

Oddly it was Astana's incredible/unbelievable or strong/aggressive riding that made the race for me making a race out of stages that would normally have been uneventful.

Keisse takes the stage after some track style weaving and waiting with Durbridge.
