Evening ladies and gents. I am going to be in Warrington next Monday for a work course for a couple of weeks and intend to bring my bike to get out on during the evenings. Any ideas for routes in the 45-70km range would be much appreciated. Most of my current routes seem to have about 100m climbing for every 10km. Thanks in anticipation.

    Hi

I do most of the routes for our club rides (Wild Bikes CC) based in Warrington. A few of them are on my Strava profile if you want to use them - https://www.strava.com/athletes/835743? ... ce=top-nav

Warrington is easy to get out of, and there are some good routes both North and South of the town.

North of the town will see you heading up toward Lancashire, and there are some fine loops and hills around Crank and also further east toward Winter hill (Both about 20 miles from Warrington).

South of the town can see you cruising the flatter Cheshire lanes, or the more lumpier stuff around Frodsham Hill and Delamere.

Drop me a line if you need some more info - you can always join one our club rides on a Wednesday night if you wish http://www.wild-bikers.co.uk/events/

    Cheers

    Andy

Seamons CC do a Weds evening time trial at High Legh, just South of Warrington, if you want to get competitive
  • Cheers andy_wrx - I'm not quite quick enough for time trialling just yet!
