I'm in need of a bike fit, does anyone have any experience of the apex bike fit system?

A local bike shop uses the system but there is so many different type out there want some reviews before I trump £££ on it

Thanks

Why are you in need of a bike fit?

It's not rocket science, it's not even kitchen science, it's straightforward and easy to teach yourself. Once you have taught yourself, you can use that to decide on changes in the future and you will be able to see the effect of the changes you make.

Take some time to investigate bike fitting on the internet and apply the basic principles yourself.

I've given it a go but just can't seem to get it right, mainly cleat alignment and lower back pain

I've had an Apex Fit, not too much to change for me after the fit (a few mm here and there) yet another chap in my club had a fit and his changes were fairly substantial.

I've always fancied a bike fit by Scherrit at the Bike Whisperer due to niggles with a knee, back etc and kinda wish I used that money towards it ~ The Apex fit is fine, kinda fitting you into one of many standard boxes for a fit whereas I see Scherrit as one of the specialists who will look at an individuals needs and base the best fit on this.
The path of my life is strewn with cowpats from the devil's own satanic herd.

Yes I had one at Infinity Cycles near Durham. Was pretty good as the rig auto adjusted while
I was riding and took into account that I ran short cranks too. Overall fit feels correct unlike another fit I had where the fitter was just using a tape measure.

How do you know cleat alignment is a problem, and what geometry is you current ride in relation to your stack and reach?
I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles

it Would be infinity Cycles I plan on using, i'm wanting it more for comfort than racing.

Sloppy : i'm not sure on those details at all to be honest. it's Mekk AL ZR and i've put a shorter stem on it which has about 40mm of spacers underneath

I've also had a fit done by Luke at Infinity Cycles. My changes were pretty big, especially to my saddle position. With such big changes, I went through a period of readjustment, but I now find that I'm producing more power in more comfort.
