Spent the afternoon building up the Belgium Plus rims. Really, really happy with them. All in with rim tape they are weighing 1630g, which I am happy with. Have to get on and put the rest of the bike together now!!

One thing that I have put on the bike to give it a try is the Di2 spacer from Raceware Direct. Really impressed with it and baffled as to why no one else has done anything similar (or at least a way to attach to a stem with something other than the straps)

Looking quite nice with the wheels on. Even with the 25c 4000SII ballooning out to nearly 29mm there is loads on clearance.

Total weight so far is 5.48kg with the wheels and tyres, bars, shifters, internal battery, brakes, BB and K-edge. Any guesses on final weight? Still have to add cassette, chain, cranks and cabling and headset.

So updates. Firstly, I am amazed at how big the Belgium Plus make the 25c. I used to run 24c on my Kysriums and these look massive! Just for comparison, here's a photo of the new against a older HED rim with a 23c tyre on it.

Then as posted up in the Workshop, I was concerned about wire rub against the axle as I am running a Rotor with a UBB30. wires and control box stuffed up on the down tube, which is helped by the fact the frame has a lip on the inside. Then, as the frame is made for either mech or electric, I used the cable guide screw boss and the drain hole to cable tie the loose wire from the rear mech down.

I've done the majority of it now. Enough to get it out for a test setup ride. Have to get a smaller cassette for round here in Essex, as it has been put together with a 28T rear for when I go to Wales. The steerer will need a final cutting once I decide my position (it's just cut down but with enough to make differences) and bar tape needs to go on once I have tweaked the shifters. Pretty happy with how neat the wiring has turned out.
