Weather looks awful.
Thinking of getting some bacon on Saturday and having a lie in on Sunday.
What's your plans ?
And anyone know if the dedicated parking (King George's field next to the start at Queens Park) is in a proper car park on on grass ?
Normally in Mallorca this weekend - it's 20 degrees and sunny there !

Nah, the george's is a bunch of football pitches with limited hard ground after the entrance. I'm still going, Mow Cop, rain, wind...what's not to like.

    3 weeks on Wednesday !
Just started raining here at home 40 miles from the Cat start, decision justified I'd say.
Plus I'll get to watch the boy play footy !

It's grim out here and the roads are SHOCKING. Why anyone would pay that money to ride on badly maintained, open to the public roads is beyond me :/

Went down to the start was only going to do the short anyway.

The rain was torrential whilst we stood waiting to go, me and the bloke I was riding with decide to leave and came home, no enjoyment in riding in that.

Sat at home with a cup of tea :)

Ran into some people on this while out, 2hrs was enough for me in that wind & rain. The sideways gusts were no fun atall.

Did the whole thing yesterday and feeling proper hard today.

Utterly utterly mad thing to do, but sometimes, stubbornness takes over from common sense! ;)

Same here, 80 miles of what felt like sheer drudgery. Followed by a 220 mile drive home, luckily I had visited friends and family in the days before to break the weekend up.

Done it twice now, in 2012 it was bibshorts and SS Jersey weather, yesterday was the coldest, wettest, most miserable weather ride I'd been on in years. Not tempted by a 3rd go.

I've rode most weekends over Winter in all weather, and I must say yesterday was one of the most miserable. It did brighten up after 12.30 on the long route, but by that time I was so cold that it was just a case of keep moving until the end.

I did get the bonus of a double goody bag at the end due to all the cancellations, which kind of negated the ride fee a little, and oddly enough, those from our club that did the ride really enjoyed it.
