Nice couple of bikes there, the Boardman looks funky.
  • Are they set exactly the same ? Saddle on the Boardman sitting differently its rails, but geometry may be different enough.

Both look good - like the wheels on the Felt.
All the gear, but no idea...

If not, some serious knee ache will be occurring
I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles

Both bikes are set up exactly the same. I have the nose pointing down as I spend most of my riding climbing the mountains of South Wales (on the drops) and with the saddle level I get numbness in the "tenders".

That Boardman looks great - I want one! (but will probably have to settle for the CXR9.0 as the next winter bike).
  • I've upgraded the CXR which is now as follows

    Boardman CXR 9.8 Frameset - large (56cm)
    Ultegra 11 speed DI2 with 28-11 cassette
Wheelsmith Race24 clincher rims with Hope Pro2 Evo hubs
FSA SLK Light Chainset - 52-34 chainrings
    TRP Spyre Disc Calipers
    3T ARX LTD carbon stem - 110mm
    3T Dorico LTD carbon seatpost - 31.6mm
    3T Ergonova carbon handlebars - 42cm
    Pro Falcon carbon rail saddle
    Speedplay Zero Stainless pedals
    Arundel Mandible bottle cages

Its weighs 8.3 kg with the current winter 28mm tyres and 8.1kg with summer tyres (Michelin Pro4 Service Course 23mm)

How's he front shifting? Even with Di2 34 to 52 must be a big gap to jump? Looks good btw!
  • The shifting is spot on. I guess thats due to the DI2?

The reason for the 34 instead of the 36 is I don't have the leg strength to climb 15%+ climbs (of which there are many in South Wales) on a 36.

Its never dropped the chain once, but I have put a chain catcher on just in case.
