How does this wheel build sound?

I am thinking of a higher quality wheelset for my Kinesis as this is the one remaining area I feel a large, positive difference can be made. The current Khamsins, although bombproof so far are narrow, rather portly and getting on a bit. I have always fancied a pair of Archetype rims and would like feedback on the below build.

Front: 24H Archetype rim, brass nipples, Sapim Laser spokes (radial pattern) with a Novatec A141 hub.

Rear: 28H Archetype rim, brass nipples, Sapim Race spokes (2x pattern) with a Novatec F262 hub.

As pictured in thread linked within my signature the bike sees a variety of uses; from long, fast, unladen rides to shorter rides equipped with a rack and carrying groceries and stuff. I myself weigh in at 76kg.

Should the above build handle all this with aplomb?

    Surely they will be stiffer, more comfortable and last longer? Possibly lighter too?

    Nice, but the Miche Primato hubs have more durable bearings and only weigh marginally more

    The Khamsins were purchased used, are at least 5 years old and have seen a couple of relatively hard winters under my ownership. They are also narrow and weigh in at 1950g.

    The Miche hubs are under consideration too and I like that I could buy from a forum member who contributes a great deal toward the community. Could any user describe the sound the freewheel makes? I like louder freehubs and the Novatec seems to be louder than I had anticipated:

    The Miche Freewheel is almost entirely silent, don't let that put you off they are great

    I have a similar build and they are superb. Stiff, reasonably light ~1750g, miche hubs are brilliant.
    Far better in every respect than Khamsins, which I've also had.

    Its a freehub not a freewheel. Freewheels screw on that almost the dark ages unless you are a single speed rider in which case it is current and a sensible way to build a hub. Freehub noise is subjective. I think miche freehubs are loud but not intollerable like hope freehub noise. We all have different sensitivities to these things. If you dont like the noise add more grease to the pawls that shuts them up a bit.

    Remove the freehub, remove all grease, put it together with a little bit motor oil and it's loud.

    Apologies for the terminology error and thank you for the detail!

    Any idea on required spoke length for each hub set?

    I personally find the freehub on my Primatos to be a very muted, low frequency tick. I struggle to actually hear it while costing along, even at lowish speeds. It's by far the quietest of all my wheels to my ears.

    I swapped from a Mavic Aksium to Mich Primato hubs and both make a noise. The Aksium is a bit louder and the Miche is higher frequency - presumably more pawls.
    Neither is excessive like a Holt hub is.

    True, but Youtube mostly fills the hole there.

    Can anyone advise spoke length needed for the Novatec hubs and Archetype rims? I'm quite interested in building them up whilst taking a class in wheel building.

    Good idea. There are sound apps for everything it seems, so why not free hubs?

    Interesting. I have Miche Primato hubs (on Velocity A23 rims - another that you ought to consider) and Novatech MTB hubs on my 29er and they're both silent. Just about every Novatech hub I've ever heard is silent.

    Holiver Front 24h radial archtpe miche wheel needs 276mm spokes but 277mm works if using sapim lasers. Rear is 282mm ds (sapim race) and 283mm (sapim laser) nds if you go for 2x. 3x works too but i forget the lengths 292mm 294mm perhaps.
