Hey everyone! I've just ordered a new set of Shimano R501 Wheels and need to remove my current Shimano 105 cassette from the older wheel to the newer one but I don't have the tools. Just wondering if this one should fit or if someone could point me in the right direction of a cheap option. Thanks. Ben http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Deluxe-Freewh ... 540a18837a

Yes. Obviously, you'll need a big adjustable spanner too.

I favour this type as the central spindle helps to locate the tool correctly.

Also this type has a recessed square feature that will accept the drive lever from a normal 1/4" socket set. Gives you a much safer action if you have to apply a bit of welly to shift the lockring. With the adjustable spanner type above there is always the danger of the spanner slipping off and you ending up with bloody knuckles or worse.

For cheapness your original link is hard to beat.

No need for any kind of lubrication, except to the threads of the lockring. I use a small dab of anti-seize. Grease will be fine though.
