I have a carbon 2014 Specialized frame http://www.specialized.com/gb/gb/bikes/road/diverge/diverge-expert-carbon with a 61mm bottom bracket shell. I want to fit the s-works carbon cranks.. http://www.specialized.com/gb/gb/ftb/road-components/drivetrain/sworks-carbon-road-crank-arms on it which have a 68mm spindle. It's a BB30 frame. Can anyone recommend a bottom bracket for me?

Presumably I'll need two 3.5mm spacers and a 68mm BB30 bottom bracket. Will a PF30 bottom bracket work as well?

The rear axle is SCS or Short Chainstay compatible so I need to maintain the chainline. I think the spider on the s-works cranks should be fine but is there anything I've missed or need to know?

PF30 won't fit BB30 - check your crank installation instructions or go to a Specialized dealer. Makers are coming up with too many proprietary standards for many to care. Don't worry about your decision as you'll probably be looking for new bearings in 6 months anyway....
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
  • OK it looks like I can install a PF30 into my frame if I use these http://wheelsmfg.com/specialized-fact-bb-spacer.html. Not sure how many 0.7mm spacers I'll need to maintain the chainline though. The problem being I won't know until I've fitted it!
