cold sensitive teeth

My front two teeth are sensitive to cold due to being crowned. I haven't really been out over the winter that much but I am starting to get back to it now and the last few rides have resulted in quite a bit of a pain. Has anyone experienced anything similar and have a solution? I use the usual sensitive toothpaste but it doesn't seem to have helped with this.

I had a bit of dental pain recently, while out running in the cold. Fixed shortly after by having a root canal. Something like a buff pulled up over your mouth might help - it certainly helped with me, but not useful if you are riding at any kind of intensity.
