These lists are all very nice, but ultimately the only valid designation of 'My Man' is for the rider you have picked for PTP.

If I can't decide on a PTP pick, I will try to remember to pick one of 'my men'.

There's probably a few mistakes, and I've included all picks even if there were more than 9 (frenchfighter!). I did exclude the women though as one person picked a separate team for them, and then there was only one other pick of Vos.

Kind of interesting that Froome is more popular than Wiggins. I'm guessing two years ago it would have been a lot different.

The conclusion is, winning is popular unless you're a bit show offy

So the 'proper season' ends after Paris-Roubaix? Are you Tom Boonen?

Valverde is proof of that. Most BR Pro-Racists wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire but when it comes to picking a winner they'd let him sh@g their sister.

I love this forum and the fickleness of pro bike race fans :lol::lol::lol::lol:

'My man' needs appellation contrôlée status to protect its unique usage: reeking of obscure privileged insightful road-lore.

    - In an early season southern hemisphere pipe-cleaner with comedy TV coverage, 'my (unsung Colombian) man' trounced the pie-laden Euros with a mighty 10th on GC.

    - On an early stage in the 'best Giro of the year', 'my man' confirmed the potential of that U15 Italian RR podium, attacking the break on foothills of final climb, finishing top 30, ahead of 8 Sky riders.

    - At CAS, I'm standing by 'my man'.

On reflection, I wish I had a unique man in my squad. The best I can do is share Degenkolb with one other person, but he is still our man not my man.

Me too. I had assumed that JC Peraud would be mine, all mine but alas no. Is it too late to switch Stannard out for Johan Le Bon who I should definitely have had in the first place?

Just behave like this guy, who similarly has mainstream taste.

I've gone further. Due to the number of people liking mainstream because hating it is too mainstream, I've moved to liking non-mainstream, but only in an ironic way.

Haven't picked my team yet but just want to lay claim to Scott Davies ready for when he joins the World Tour in the next couple of seasons. Very good ride in the Sun Tour.

There will be 'how's my mans are doing ' thread in good time

in the mean time my man Kelderman is not bothering with all these laps round the sand dunes nonsense and will unleash the full force at Paris Nice . I will be in Nice to hand over the ' Your one of my mans' T shirts. This gesture may get lost in translation
  • My man De Gendt has been playing on Zwift all weekend and putting it on Strava. The weather hasn't even been bad.

OK on the orders of No tA Doctor I have to pick MY MEN. Better late than never I suppose.

So my 9 man squad is:

Sjoerd van Ginneken (yeah I've no idea who he is either, aside from he's Dutch and rides for Roompot)
Michał Kwiatkowski (because he's always been my men for like forever)
Richie Porte (small people solidarity and an appreciation of Toblerone)
Pete Kennaugh (again because he's wee and he's feisty and he has very rosy cheeks)
Cav (because I still believe, even though it hurts)
Laurens Ten Dam (because someone has to love someone that ugly)
Thibaut Pinot (because his name sounds like peanut)
Zdenek Štybar (because his name reminds me of the magic roundabout and he along with Kwiatkowski might actually win something)
Ji Cheng (because he's CHENG and he's awesome!)

EDIT - I'm swapping out Stybar for Vasil Kiryenka.
    Correlation is not causation.

Another pro on Zwift who can drop me like a stone without even being remotely aware he's done so!
