edited January 2015 in Pro race
Bardiani CSF, Southeast, Androni Giocattoli, Nippo Vini Fantini and Polish team CCC Sprandi Polkowice

No Colombia!!

Either they were not impressed with last year or they have got the team Southeast in due to a massive backhander....they have Petacchi and will probably come last in just about everything.

Looking forward to seeing Cunego in Nippo colours and will be interesting to see what CCC can do (they have Bole, Szymd and Schumacher now).

Teams that applied and missed out: Colombia, Wanty - Groupe Gobert, UnitedHealthcare and Caja Rural - Seguros RGA.

Southeast (aka Yellow Fluo etc) could do transfusions on stage during the Giro presentation and then hand out EPO samples to kids and still get a Giro invite, just as long they change their name every year.

Yeah, complete and utter BS that a team as consistently dirty as that get invited. It's when you know that the Italian's at RCS are corrupt as you like.

  • Disappointed no application from Roompot.

Eneco Tour and 3 Days of de Panne the only events in their calendar at this rate.

Unless there is a criterium on the second Thrusday of March in Den Haag...

No MTN-Qhubeka at MSR seems like a shame. They would have had a few contenders and two of the last four winners...

I think they'll roughly have the same calendar Topsport Vlaanderen has, which is probably what they want.

Wait. The Schumacher? The guy who got busted in, what, 2008? Seriously?

They have got a wildcard though, and for Tirreno too.

Ah yes, hadn't realised that those going to T-A also get to ride at MSR. Phew!

    Haha, this is true!
  • Southeast got a wildcard by default for winning the coppa Italia, no? And no, I don't think they beat Napoli en route....

    Yes, but....

...they beat Bardiani by just one point, 576-575. And 121 of Neri/Southeast/Fluo's points were scored by Mauro Rabottini who tested positive for EPO in September.

  • Cheers, didn't consider Rabottini's points
