Hi,

I don't post much but have a favour to ask, if you are a facebook user.

My wife has entered our dog in a local competition and she needs people to 'Like' the picture of our dog Daisy. She is currently in 2nd place and needs a big push to get her into first place.

So if you would be so kind to click on this link and 'Like' Daisy (19th dog along) it would be much appreciated.
Clicky Click

This is the pic you are looking for (19th pic in):

Thanks :D

Judging by the number of votes on #64 someone else has the same strategy!

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

You can buy 10,000 likes for $50. Would it look suspect if 10k Russians liked your bowwow ?

Um... sorry to be the party pooper (excuse the pun), but where is the fun in winning by cheating? :?

Not sure asking people to vote your pooch is cheating.
Also, Facebook is hardly the hardest thing to manipulate is it. Facebook is a web of spiders and making one to click a link whenever another gets a click just so you guarantee to win but not to the point where it draws suspision isn't exactly hard to do is it :!:

  • Does the dog know it is being 'paraded' for the banal gratification of the owner?

It's not as though the dog get's any love and attention from the random internet button pushers ... Unless Chris Morris was right all along, in which case ask Phil Collins for a 'like'.
Life is unfair, kill yourself or get over it.

Is this a competition being run by the North Korean Masterchef team?

So Hoohaar you come onto a cycling forum to ask the members to vote on your dog when you can't even be bothered to provide a proper photo or a reason as to why we should vote for your dog in order to manipulate the competition so that you win!

And with 71 posts in 3 years, most of which ask for advice and don't contribute much to the forum.

    Have I got that right?

If it is then your not a very nice person are you?

A hollow one, I should think.

In answer to your question, another question - what's the point? So some guy can tell his wife that someone he met on the internet fixed a competition for her dog to win? All seems a bit sad, but perhaps my values are all wrong. You know - honesty, true sense of achievement, all that kind of nonsense.
  • None of the dogs were even that good looking, or at least not in the photos shown ... Oh well, someone somewhere is getting a kick out of it (metaphorically mind, no need to call the RSPCA) ...
