They pronounce Peter 'Robert' as well.
Perhaps I misheard the pronunciation, so how would that be. ?

Odd but entertaining interview with Kiese and Cav on Sporza

No longer looks like its being shown on Eurosport.

Why did I think Eurosport were going to show every day? Was looking forward to sitting down to watch each night.

  • Will be there on Friday and Saturday - hope the ticket office will let us leave the Bromptons with them rather than lock up outside. Have sussed a couple of cycle routes to have a break from the beer Saturday/Sunday. Weather looks OK not like back in 2007(8?) when it was snowing... not to great on 16" wheels plus cobbles plus tram tracks.

Anyone for a beer or a burger Friday afternoon? I'm taking my brother to De Robot cafe (who coincidentally sponsor my cycling club) for dinner at about 1800. Will be around in town from about 14p0

Well well - I'll be there on Friday night with some mates: one of whom wore a Brixton Cycles gillet on our ride around Geraardsbergen this afternoon...

Not been before : Ghent is stunning.

When I look at that pic now a Ford ad pops up on it?
    Is that a BR thing?

how does the scoring work? they're leading despite the guys in third having far more points, but with +1lap

Cavendish and Keisse managed to lap the opposition in the points race on Thursday. Lampater and Dillier have managed this too.

Whenever a duo gets 100 points (then 200 or 300) then they automatically get a bonus lap too, so de Buyst and de Ketele will reach 300 tonight (if they have not already done so) and take back the lap they lost.

The overall points score only matters if the riders are tied on the number of laps ridden. It all sounds a bit complicated but it makes for exciting, attacking racing because even if a team has a massive points lead there are still opportunties for others to gain laps and the upper hand.

Do you expect someone who is a lap down(or more) to be winning. ??
A 6 day race is about who travels the Farthest in the allotted time and if there are several teams on the same lap, the points score then has an effect for a winner.
A team that is 160 meters behind cannot win.

There must be some fantastic racing in the next 3 hours (there usually is) because the team De Buyst/De Ketele will only need 2 points to gain a bonus lap and resume the lead early this evening.
