hydraulic brakes

Hi guys just bought my first mtb with hydraulic brakes,it seems the front brake lever is spot on you don't have to squeeze it to hard.
The rear brake lever seems like you have to squeeze it more to get it to bite,is it me or does it need bleeding?
In other words the rear seems to have more travel in it than the front if that makes sense.

    Just go use it. They will need bedding it.

    Bleeding is the last thing you should.

    Info on what brakes they are might bring more specific info.

    It could also be front brakes provide a lot greater braking force. The front brake is stopping the whole weight of bike and rider whereas the rear brake is being dragged along by the weight of bike and rider.

    Slx are decent brakes, try using them for a few rides and see if things improve.

    If not take the bike back to the shop to be adjusted.
