On One, worth one?

I just wondered whether anyone has any experience or comments about On One bikes, specifically the sub 1000 pound hard tails like the inbred, 456 and parkwood.
They look quite good value but do they ride well and are they good quality? It always seems a bit of a risk buying from a mainly on line company in case there are problems and you need the customer service

I had one. Good bike but if you want a steel hardtail for a smoother ride then forget it.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

To be fair they're far from an online retailer having one large store and another opening/just opened.
Not personally used one of their bikes but there are a fair few about so can't be too bad. Have bought other items off them either in store or online and always been satisfied with their service.0 -

Superb value, well thought out, contemporary geometry - hard to go wrong if you want a hard riding, but stable platform.0

Bike wise iv got a Scandal frame cant fault it nor the kit ive bought from them service wise no complaints either called them up re frame sizing had a good chat and not looked back since.0 -
If you've an urge to get the Fatty, go for it
Most fun bike I've ever ridden, I actually class it as my main bike because I use it on a regular basis.
To the OP, On-One bikes are extremely well put together and the company is a pleasure to deal with in my experience0 -

That's a good point, I know there is a 650b prototype of the Codeine knocking about at the moment so maybe they have decided to scrap the 29er version for now in favour of the 650b0 -
