Turns out 29" wheels struggle to "flow" over abandoned badger excavations. on the positive side i have broken my flying over the handlebars and landing under the bike cherry with minimal pain.

great day at Woodbury Common nr Exeter. recommend.

The other day I found out the 29er wheels struggle to flow over old railway sleepers hidden in long grass. Luckily there was a patch of nettles to break my fall.

  • Don't do especially well against 2ft deep drainage ditches when you miss the bridge. Almost landed the somersault though.

Yesterday I saw what happens to £700 forks when you ride in to a tree stump hidden ferns. A set of bent Rockshox BoXXers and a headset top cup literally smashed out of the frame.
