Do all metal bottle cagey go scabby after 6 months?

Seems mine do - is there a higher quality brand than the bog-standard £3.00 ones that are listed on Wiggle?
This is what I've been buying in the past and inevitably the coating wears off and everything starts to look a bit shabby.
I haven't seen any that look like they'd resist this decline though - if the sign of that is costing a bit more than the others.

No problems with mine and they werent pricey.0

I've no idea what I might have done to them though - I keep the bike clean and don't do anything especially dirty/off road with it.0

Yup ^^^ Stainless Steel. Also doesn't leave the black glop on the bottle that gets your hands dirty.0

Will clash with just abut everything else attached to my white bike though - groupset etc is all black0

I don't know about metal ones but I bought two cheap carbon cages on eBay and 18m later they still look more or less like new. I'm sure someone will sell you a carbon cage for ££££ but mine were less than a tenner.0
