Winter XC bikes

Who has a winter xc bike and what is it?
I'm looking for ideas for something for all weather xc rides to keep my Mega all nice.
No fat bikes please :-)

    Have something like eleven bikes. Obviously N+1 so I can have one for each month.
    They all get used whenever.
    I don't do smileys.

    Nope. Normal people would just clean it. Only really matters where you ride a lot on the road with salt.

    hardtail or full suspension ?

    just build a cheapish but decent long travel hardtail for the winter maybe, don't nukeproof have some 150mm travel hard tail frames out for 2015 ?

    Old Gary fisher 29er xcaliber I have had powder coated Cadbury purple. Looks pretty trick and is good for all day rides
