Here's my nearly finished XLS.
Bought on ebay from Planet X's shop as a pre-built frame at an advantagous price this was going to be built up on a budget with parts I had and second-hand bits,as usual this didn't entirely happen and ended up splashing out on new calipers and a wheelset(hubs from Gabriel of this parish).
Pics show it in it's commute mode were it'll spend most of it's time although it will be used for winter club runs and maybe some actual cross duties;the club has a hill climb coming up so might use it for that.
Still some stuff to do and it needs some better pedals(poss Time atacs?) and maybe something like a Carradice bag for commuting duties in place of a rucksack.Also might get a bit longer stem to try and I'm currently seeing if it's worth getting my old set of Mavic a317/Cannondale fire wheels re-furbed(or even re-hubbed)to use as off -road wheels(with clement tyres?).

    Sorry for the late reply.

    The Randonneurs are ace;roll nicely on tarmac and pretty good on loose stuff even with a numopy like me steering it :roll:,can keep a good 30kph+ going on a nice flat surface .Only thing they don't like is wet long grass,but that's hardly a surprise.
    This is getting a load of use now and the Ridley has only been out on one club run in the last fortnight.

    Oh and it's now sporting a longer Deda stem and bars.

    Hi -Good looking bike. A clubmate is looking at one of these. Do you know if it'll take mudguards?

    I had one of them red bikes but I don't any more. Sad face.

    @ratsbey
  • There are no mudguards mounts but you can probably bodge something with p clips.
