Hi

I wondered if anyone else had managed to see this programme on C5, features a cyclist commuting 28 miles each way. He has been it for a couple of years.

Caught a few minutes of it and channel hopped, the bit I saw seemed to be a camera following a lady around who was complaining at just about every opportunity she could. Sort of got the impression the people at channel 5 said: "right we have an hours slot to fill, what can we do really cheaply that we can badge as a documentary"

  • I channel hopped through it a couple of times. Was this the fat Kent woman? she seemed happy to whine when other seemed to have less space than her but insist on getting the tube one stop when most just walk across London Bridge (800m?), no sympathy here.
If I know you, and I like you, you can borrow my bike box for £30 a week. PM for details.

I watched bits of it, none of the commutes seemed overly remarkable to be honest, typical rubbish documentary from Channel 5.
"Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"

  • What's truly remarkable is people who drive 5 miles each way and then pay £10 to park. That's a crazy commute.

Isn't this produced by the guy who was canvassing for people on here for a 'documentary'?

So is the guy who had the 'crazy' 28 mile commute from Manchester to the Peak District a member on here?

Not sure. What's that object and is it to do with inflating sheep?

I think the guy got pretty short shrift on here when looking for victims, I mean subjects.
Wanders off to the Cake Stop guess the object thread...

Dead right, I live about 200 metres from an ex colleague, I cycled the 5 miles in to work in just under 20 minutes, take the bike in to the office. She would leave at the same time in her car and i would normally be halfway through my coffee when she arrived, on top of that she paid £6 a day for parking and the cost of petrol.

'Channel 5' and 'Documentaries' don't belong in the same sentence - unless that sentence is "Channel 5 make poo documentaries"

They class things like "the hotel inspector" as a documentary, guess it is in the loosest sense of the word but never actually seen a proper documentary on C5.
