The Capra was a contender, but I'm not sure YT have a big enough advertising budget, so who won ?

  • Did we really need to start a thread with this büllshit? Couldn't we have waited at least a few posts before we started on the conspiracy theories?

  • Specialized spend loads on advertising in MBR, must be a fix.
  • What a dull shortlist. 2 Canyons and 2 Specialized - FSR all over the shop.

  • Maybe because FSR just works well?

You're right, you have bored the f*** out of us by mentioning wheel sizes when everyone else realised it wasn't important, you are a very naughty boy, now don't do it again!

Comp Evo comes in two models 29 and 650B, don't know which they tested (don't really care).

    OK Sir message understood :)
  • Thats a 2013 review? Surely not from the Bike of the year 2014 test? Not saying it would be any different.

The BOTY was based on those that scored perfect 10's, that was the test where the Stumpy qualified, so as it was the 29er they should logically have used that for BOTY.

  • I see. I think.

Sounds like a good bike from that review. I liked the Evo when they came out with it back when 26ers were still normal.

OK, I was in the smoke today and parked myself in WH Smiths and read the magazine cover to cover 8)
One conclusion to be drawn is Canyon seem to be taking over. Two Canyons featured in the bike of the year short-list and there was a positive article about their new long term Spectral 6.9 29er. The same bike won the group test in the current issue of MBUK.
