15mm TA Forks to QR Skewer hub??

Good morning all,

I'm a newbie member....and this is my first post!

I'm concerned that my first post is going to make me out to be just a little bit silly.

But...

I own a 2012 Bianchi Kuma 5300 hardtail - it's an entry level bike - but it does me just fine.

However - last night, I spotted a bargain (upgraded front forks) on an online auction site and made an impulse buy!

Since then - I've come to realise that the forks are to suit a 15mm Thru Axle quick release....and my bike hub is currently a quick release skewer.

Can I get an adaptor for the forks? Or will I need to buy a new wheel/hub?

Unless you can adjust the hub, new wheel time. So maybe not a bargain.

Fiddle sticks!

Rockshox Sektor TK Solo Air - 12months old for £62.

Plus new wheel - probably another £50 at least!

I thought for sure there would be a conversion kit!

A Sektor is probably too long for your frame. You should look for similar (+/-20mm) travel to your current fork otherwise you risk ruining the bikes handling.

It is a straight swap but there are different forks to suit different types of bike for different styles of riding.
