Shimano XTR I spec shifter

I want to replace my Sram X7 front shifter (2013) which is currently attached to one single bar clamp which holds both the Avid brakes and the shifter.A single bolt from bottom of the clamp fits straight on to the current shifter. Will a (replacement) Shimano XTR M980 I spec shifter bolt straight on to where the X7 shifter has come off,or do I need to replace the clamp as well,to some matchmaker type of affair.

PS. (Im also replacing the rear mech to shimano just to save anyone pointing out that I need to do that).

Any help appreciated.

The Shimano shifter won't fit a SRAM clamp, but Hope make a clamp that will take SRAM brakes and Shimano shifter.
