After a 2 year stint on steel, finally gave in to something lighter, faster, more comfortable (yes, really) in the new Cervelo S3.

Had 3 rides on it so far including a 200k headwind-fest from London to Bath......and the ride quality is nothing short of extraordinary. The skinny stays really do smooth things out and stiffness is right up there....out of the saddle it whizzes along. Steerer tube needs chopping now my height/reach matching from the old bike feels right. Same applies to the white PVC tape on the seatpost.

Photo taken after a very soggy 70k around Bath yesterday so maybe not as pristine as usual!

Few changes to the spec:

Frame and forks: 58cm 2014 S3
Wheelset: Dura Ace 9000 c35
Tyres: Continental GP4000ii Transparent sidewall
Chainset: Dura Ace 9000
Pedals: Look Keo Blade 2
Brakes: Dura Ace 9000
Shifters/Mechs: Ultegra 6870 Di2
Saddle: Antares
Stem and Bars: 3T

Lovely stuff. How do you find the C35s in the breeze?

They were pretty good actually - didn't have any gusty control issues throughout the whole ride - or at least not anything I wouldn't have expected.
