Hi all,
My friend is selling a Fox DHX Air 5.0 and I would like to know if it could be fitted to my Specialized Epic Comp 2010.
My initial reaction from seeing the picture was no, because of the additional boost valve cylinder attached, but I thought I would ask the experts!
The bike is this one http://www.specialized.com/us/en/bikes/ ... c/epiccomp
The rear shock is this one: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/fox-racing-shox ... hock-2013/
Thank you

Is the shock the same length?
Does the shock have the same stroke?
Don't see the piggy back as an issue but the rest could be."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

1) why on earth would you want to fit a DHX Air to an Epic!?
2) the diameter of the air sleeve will likely be a problem, the AFR shocks on the Epics are very slim, and there's not much room between shock and top tube
3) dimensions as Nick mentioned, most Spesh bikes are a bit odd.0 -
DHX air shocks are usually quite long stroke, does it match the original?
They are also pretty bad shocks.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
unlikely to fit, as noted above the epic has an odd stroke and I2I - you can measure this yourself. The brain shock isn't all that bad though. Phone TFtuned and see if they can do you a shock in that size.0
