Digby, the biggest dog in the world

Anyone else seen it? An interesting documentary I thought.

It's amazing how big an old english sheep dog can grow isn't it. (See photo compared to a UK railway line).

    Judging by the state of the pavement outside our house this morning Digby was wandering down our street when he needed his first dump of the day.

    Was his status as the biggest dog ever actually ratified by the Guinness Book of World Records? I know he's loveable and all that and it won't affect people's opinion of him (particularly in this country, where he's loved and he's from), but have there been any bigger dogs?
