    Armitstead just about took 3rd, held up as Vos launched by Rowe(sp?), who put in a big switch from left to right

    I know any TV exposure is better than none but the last two women's races we've had have been boring flat crits - it's not the fault of the riders but those circuits are just not going to make a good race.

    Just on crits, Eileen Roe was rightly wearing her national circuit jersey but Vos was wearing the rainbows today. What's the protocol with that? Did Martin not get into hot water for displaying the rainbows in the TTT Worlds on his bike? Is there even a world champions jersey for circuit racing and if not, is that why MV was able to wear her road jersey?

    No world crit champs, it's classed as a road race so well within their rights. Wiggle Honda worked that well but given the strength of numbers they had to really. Bronzini was impressive closing the gap in the sprint but there'd have been a few words if poor positioning had cost her the win after all that team work.

    Dont care much for Bronzini but congratulations to her.

    In that case, I thought the British Champion would have been invited?

    Trott was racing - and any of the pro women could've got an entry, I don't know if many beyond Armitstead and Vos would've got appearance money though.

    Yes, thats my point, it was a critirium. So Vos really shouldn't have been in the rainbow stripes.

    Yes, thats my point, it was a critirium. So Vos really shouldn't have been in the rainbow stripes.

    In the absence of a separate championship event then a crit is just a road race. I don't think many countries have a separate crit championship and therefore their national road race champion would also wear the jersey in a crit.
