Pro2 evo freehub body / cassette

Okay, my SLX cassette has eaten into my alu freehub body and I have to lever the cassette off. Will a steel freehub body solve this?

Also are SRAM cassettes compatible with shimano shifters and mechs?

    Yes, it will, but its not a massive issue, and steel freehub bodies weigh a ton. Literally. 1000kg.

    Instead of forcing it off, try using your chain whip on the smaller sprockets one at a time - rotating them in the opposite direction to the normal pull of the chain, until the spline line up again. Then you can normally wiggle them off.

    XT cassettes are cheap if you shop around and don't mark the freehub body as much.
    It's only cosmetic damage, just file down the burrs and keep using it.

    What rockmonkey said ive had my xt cassette on my hope hub for a year now and just changed the cassette and the hub was fine.
