Saw a great deal on the web for a Focus Cayo Evo 2.0 2014.
Not the best pic but it's the only one I have done yet.

This pic looks like it was taken in my bedroom (without my pants on the floor, obvs).

I also have a ( last year's ) Cayo Evo - I need to have a chat with mrs mm.

No pants on the floor in the spare room luckily. The bike will soon be replaced by a Sofabed in the same spot the pic was taken (not my choice of course).

My wife wasn't impressed about the bike but after we visited our LBS and had a chat with a friendly staff member she was put at rest. After all, Laura Ashley curtains are not high up the priority list!

New American Classic 350 Sprint wheels added.
    Bontrager R3 tyres added
    Specialized Turbo tubes added.
    That's another 378g lost.
Had a pair of 350's on my old S-Works Saxo Bank bike and they were great.

Wanting to get down to the 6.8kg mark if possible so some lighter brake calipers might be on the cards next but no rush for now as I'm just enjoying riding it.

Hope to get better pics added soon.

Got the bike build completed now.Of course the Mavic Cosmic Carbone Ultimates would be nice but they are insane money and the idea of this build was to get a top end bike built for as little money as possible.

The bike weighs in at an official 6.62kgs complete with pedals, Cateye V3 computer with sensors and including the bottle cages.

    Focus Cayo Evo 2.0 2014 Frame/Fork
    American Classic 350 Sprint wheels
    Planet X Ti skewers
    Bonty R3 tyres
    Bonty Race X Lite tubes
FSA SL-K Light crankes with FSA Super N10/N11 50/34 rings
    Keo Carbo Ti pedals
USE Alien Cyclops Carbon 27.2/270mm post
    Spesh Toupe Ti Saddle
    TRP R920 Calipers
    Yokozuna Reaction Brake/Gear cable set
2011 SRAM Red 10 spd shifters
2011 SRAM Red Ti cage Front mech
2012 SRAM Red Aeroglide Rear mech
SRAM Red XG1090 Powerdome 11-25 cassette
    KMC X10SL chain
3T ErgoTerra Team carbon 42cm CX bars
    3T Arx Team 100mm Steam
Fizik 2mm Superlight gloss black tape
    Blackburn slick 23g cages
    Cateye V3 triple wireless

The ride is fantastic. Fast, nimble, smooth gear changes, super responsive and effortless braking. Comfy too. Just need some Raceday MCCU wheels. :D
So the cost, well, factoring in the parts I have sold that came on the bike as standard, plus parts that I already had and a few parts still left to sell it will have cost me £2300.
Some parts were 2nd hand such as the shifters, cassette, rear mech and pedals but they were in top condition so I'm happy for them to be on my bike.
Post, saddle, stem, bars and cranks I already had.

I like my bar tape. It's a bit of shiny stuff to match my bottle cages and glossy areas of paint on the frame/fork.

    Digging up an old thread.
Just to say that the bike is still performing superbly. Last year it got little use due to various circumstances but having recently been getting out again I forgot just how good it is.
It's no SuperSix Evo Hi-Mod (my dream bike) but it ticks all the boxes for my bike needs.
Just treated myself to a pair of Wheelsmith Aero Dimpled 45mm clinchers so hopefully when they arrive I'll being moving along that bit quicker and for the minor weight penalty it will be well worth it.
