Neutral service cars and marking wheels...

My son is in a junior road race this weekend and the paperwork says that "there will be two neutral service vehicles - riders are required to bring a spare wheel. please make sure you can identify them after the race."
So how do you mark a wheel such that you are clearly its owner without damaging it? We can't afford to lose a wheel and the one we are going to supply will probably be sold as part of a set in the near future.
And what about his race wheels - how do we mark those so that we can get them back in the event of a puncture?
There must be loads of you who have gone through this, so any advice gratefully received.

A small piece of masking tape with the race number, or name taped to the rim / the hub or a spoke at a stretch.Jibbering Sports Stuff: http://jibbering.com/sports/0

As above - magic marker plus a piece of electrical tape. Write your name on the tape and stick it onto the rim or hub.0

You'll get a random wheel in the event of a puncture. Do not put good wheels in the service car because it might not be you that gets them.0
