The Institute for Studies found that 43% of professional men aged 35-50 have spent more than £5,000 on a bike without really knowing why

Mid-Life Crisis Reduced To The Purchase Of Team Sky lycra and high end road bike

My midlife crisis will involve a string of busty glamour models, occasionally two or more at a time. Don't know how I will achieve this but I think it might all go horribly wrong.

It won't. They're way too busy picking up 18 year old footballers on £100k/week.

I like your thinking but I seem to be waiting for old age for this to happen now.

Death by glamour models. What a way to go, suffocated between huge boobs.

Well, that thought has ruined any chances of a productive afternoon.

Unless it was Jodie Marsh... think I'd rather be shot in the stomach and die painfully from the slow bleed out.

On a similar subject, I saw the Great Wall of Vagina at the weekend (look it up. It's not porn, it's art). It was an eye opener, ranging from mouses ear to beef roll run over by a bus.

Just google 'Chilean World Cup goal celebration' or 'Jhendelyn Nunez' if you really want your brain scrambled

The thing i had planned for my midlife crisis has gone awry and has little chance of happening, let alone being the event I'd hoped for, and I dont have a high end orange mountain bike; so does that mean my £600 last years model ghost is going to be entirety of my crisis?
I'm disappointed tbh. I've already made the mistake of buying a classic car instead of a modern sports car and now own a pile of rusty badness, now it seems even my bike falls short of expectations too.
That's really disheartening, im in crisis over my mid life crisis.

I have always assumed a mid life crisis is the prerogative of those with the finances to support a mid life crisis. If you have 3 kids and a 25k a year job realistically your mid life crisis might be getting wankered on a work night without prior permission from the misses. If you have 1 kid and a 25k bonus to go with your company porker and 2nd place in the country then your mid life can be a little more glamorous right?

I think what kind of crisis you have is dictated by finances as you say. I don't know if mine counts as a mid-life crisis as I've always been a childish dick that likes messing about with big boys toys on the cheap. That's why I haven't got a real job and work with classic cars.
Talking of which, Contented what have you got and what's the problem?

Chap at work has had a major MLC, lost about 4 stone, does the Gym every night, biceps like Will Hoys thighs, separated from his wife and now shacks with a 25 yo Goth GF and bought an MR2.....we keep asking him where the motorbike is!

See this is the kind of thing I'm talking about, this is where we should all be looking for inspiration. Would be crisis goers take note, that fella bagged a 25 year old with an mr2, imagine if he'd have gone for a boxter.
I went for a dolomite sprint and it didn't even get my own missus excited let alone anyone I could get into mischief with. 'A bit crap' apparently :(
I always buy the wrong car, I even got one with a column shift and bench seat because I had visions of getting the odd 'favour' as I drove along. That was crap too apparently, as was my idea of motoring naughtiness.
Now I've just given up on everything and bought a volvo.

My mate has been going through his mid-life crisis since I first met him in 1997. Works out loads. Cycles. Runs. Great physique for a 52yr old. Always fast cars, now with Porsche 996 4S Cab. Lovely car. He's so fussy and particular that no woman he meets ever lives up to his expectations. He'll die alone eventually..... Trouble is he still thinks like a pubescent school boy. He'll never change.

That's one area where I've got him beat hands down, I'm not picky at all. Ask my wife!

That's not a bad idea. Saves a lot of money (rohypnol isn't cheap you know), I can get it done in an evening and the wife will cook me tea as long as im finished before she gets home.
