Stainless Steel or Titanium.

Looking at buying a new frame set for my Sunday bike, I'm wanting to upgrade my Ribble new sportive frame to either a titanium or a SS frame, I think......

But I'm undecided so thought I'd throw it out there for your advice.

I'm not a fast racer so prefer the relaxed geometry for longer rides, I usually manage around 16-17mph average on rides. I did the Manchester to Chester return @ 16mph over 110 miles so not after racey handling

The two I'm comparing are

Both have lifetime warranty. Apparently SS is stronger and it comes in a lot lighter frame alone for the SS is 1200g compared to 1600g for the Silk Road

    I have both and I wouldn't be able to say which is my favourite on metal type alone. They are both very comfortable, big difference to alloy frames.

    The Ti bike has CF forks and it's lighter than the steel bike but I can't see any other difference other than cost.

    ride both imo, then decide, SS for me every time ...
