I spotted this frame on the LFGSS forum and couldn't resist as I've always wanted an Extreme.

This was the frame last weekend:-

And this is it today, adorned with Campag (of course :) ) and as a nod to the past, a lovely Concor saddle. I'm off to climb some hills on Sunday !!

I really must stop buying bikes.....

Very nice, I bet the ride is beautiful.

Where are the other three, though? ;)

You should invest in some cable cutters then you can trim off all the excess from the cable inners.

I can't stand Colnagos but it sure is a great result ,except for the saddle.

That is really very nice indeed.

Can't see the point in cutting inners too close - reduces chances of being re-useable. And tied in a loop makes pulling them tight a lot easier out in the cold and wet without carrying pliers.

Brilliant bike.....but that saddle looks big, suppose it will look fine once you are on the bike!

Ok, so apart from the cables, the bars not being angled properly...and the ginormous saddle.....what to you think of the bike ?

So I took it out yesterday, adjusted the position twice en route and did 55 miles through the Surrey Hills. The saddle is as comfy as I remember it from the late 90s when I last had one. The plan is to buy a really light set of climbing wheels and make it my climber as I blew every PR on strava yesterday.

As with every Colnago I've owned, it's super comfortable and I'm afraid I'm going to have to keep it now !!

You sound a bit sad about your last sentence there. I'll happily help!

Enjoy the bike mate, she is a stunner.

Awesome. I have an Extreme C which I've never really done justice in terms of build. Running very well used DA 7800 on it, which looks good, but a hotchpotch of finishing kit. Nonetheless, every time I ride it I seem to hammer some fast times. Commutes, long rides, climbing, whatever. Now I'm the first to say there's not much in the bike, but I frequently finish a ride on it far more contented than my other bikes, including the new Parlee. I have finally decided to build it properly and use it properly. Yours makes mine look sad. Good effort.
