I have a set of Fox F90RL forks on my Stumpy HT comp (08).

I have noticed the following signs of corrosion on them. Is it anything to worry about, can the corroded parts be replaced?

Replacing the parts would probably work out prohibitively expensive. I'd investigate the corrosion and repaint - I cant recall what metal is used for that but I doubt it is corroded badly.

I guessed it would be too expensive to consider.

It looks like just surface corrosion (to my un-trained eye...)

I would hazard a guess its the coating coming off and not actually corrosion of the metal.

It's a pretty well known issue on fox forks, I'd have a quick google if i were you, but it's nothing to worry about, it just looks crap.

Its the aluminium crown oxidising under the paint and the paint lifting off, will look horrid but it's not significant in terms of strength.
