Thanks :) Can't wait to get it onto some trails and see what it's like :D

If you're only doing XC riding then I wouldn't get a FS bike - they're just heavy and slow!

Its all varied really what I ride, commute to work (roads and trails) red routes at trail centers and other random rides.. would like a full sus as just a do it all machine :)

If you do, try to get one with minimal pedalling feedback and/or a lockout rear shock (Giant Maestro is really good)!

I wouldn't call FS bikes heavy compared to your inbred, most are around the same weight, my trance weighed less last time it was on the scales

Compared to the inbred, perhaps not. The inbred is a pretty heavy frame though. My FS frame was 1KG heavier!

True :P Full suspension frames are generally heavier and less efficient than hardtails though.

I dunno about that, i think there a place for both. I am much faster downhill then i ever was on my hardtail and slower uphill. But not by much. Unless i am racing i dont think the speed uphill really matters anyway. I have been looking at the On One 29ers lately thinking about making a light weight XC machine, but think i am just going to sort out my CX bike with some lighter components.

Absolutely loved it - the frame is stiff but comfortable and great fun. Looking forward to many more rides on it!

Believe it or not, no! I'm really pleased with it so far. It's great fun to ride and is fairly comfortable for a hardtail. Planning on maybe getting some Rebas for it in the future as the XC32s are not very good, and maybe going 1x10!

Here's a photo from a ride down in Aviemore last weekend:

Latest update - 2009 Dual Air Reba SLs! They feel so much better than the XC32s and are about 600g lighter too :D
