I am running a 1X10 with the front having 34T and the cassette being a standard 11 - 36 Sram. I need to get a bit more out of this and wonder if I can swap the 11 for a 10 - which would presumably give me about 10% more. Of course I could gt a new 36 or 38 T NW for the front but that would be expensive and I dread it exceeding the diameter of the bash. I know that Sram have a 10-42 cassette for 1x11 but I can't find a 10t cassette ring. Any ideas?

No you can't. 11 is the smallest that will fit onto the freehub.

Paul - I'd pull out one of my own teeth to get a chance of being where you are!
