Can I use shimano gear cables with my sram force shifters? The end bung bit looks too big

Gear inner end stops are the same (Campag is different) but SRAM uses 1.1mm Dia cable Shim is 1.2mm I've heard you can use the 1.2m but wouldn't myself I just get the 1.1mm Jagwire ones that work great.

There's a few posts on here where people have tried to re-cable their SRAM gruppo's with 1.2mm cables and had a bad time of it. I had to re-cable my RD last weekend and used the SRAM 1.1mm gear cables (Hargroves Cycles are doing them online for £2.80 free postage) and it was no problem at all, and I'm not normally particularly proficient at such things.
