im getting back into mountain bike and in a indecisive decision lol to much to choose from. I'm looking either a All Mountain bike or a down hill bike. i am more to the AM you to there climb ablity and will be taking my son on bike rides and will be going to BPW alot, i know wouldnt be able to do gnarly stuff as a DH with a AM, which AM bike for around 2K is a good one that will be able to cope with slamming down hill and be able to take a beating. as been looking at lapierre zesty 29er, and the Norco Signt alloy. cuba sting 140 pro 29er
however i have been looking at getting a cube hanzz pro for a dh bike and want to know poeple view on the bike.
do appologies as everyone must uses to these types of questions

The Cube Hanzz isn't very good, fairly nasty rear suspension which wallows badly. It's certainly no downhill bike and a bit of a tank to ride up hill.
If you can stretch the budget a little take a look at the Nukeproof Mega AM, if not have a look at the Rose Granite Chief or YT Wicked.

Yeah I like te nukeproof but no were near me has any in store to test. Have been looking at budget bike and seen that voodoo got a few good ones with good specs on them, you rate them much? Voodoo hoodoo or the bizango. Wen tho bike radar and mtb mag aren't going to give them a shit review. Just not give it much of a positive feedback. And all the customer reviews, the only major fault on them is letting halfords build the bike as I'm pretty hand on with tools cando I my self.

Spoke to a couple of guys at last years Mega and they were rating the Wicked very highly (for the price), def a bike you can slam down the DH tracks from what I saw
