Uncontroversial I would think!!

Great actor! The Long Good Friday and Mona Lisa are two of the great gangster movies.

Not a word spoken, just Bob's facial expressions for one of the best 2 minutes and 30 seconds in British cinema.

Great actor, a real hard nut in younger life too.
Could you imagine sharing a pint and talking over the things he got up to. Would be a thing of beauty.

And even more impressively, it was the first scene he shot for the film. Great actor and seemed a good guy.

You forget who's in that film. Pierce Brosnan looks about 12. :D

When I heard the sad news of Bob's death this was the scene that immediately came into my head. It's an extraordinary piece of acting.

I'm hoping The Long Good Friday will get replayed as a tribute, love that film.

I was once the victim of Bob Hoskins stare, I mistyped the cash till at the camera shop and overcharged him 20p on a £2000 sale. He had to wait for 2 mins and 30 seconds as the manager un-fecked my feck-up. A least I wasn't hanging by my feet.

If only you'd worked in a certain bike shop. You could have then said "there you go Mr. Hoskins, pennies from Evans". Boom tish! I'll get me coat.
