Hi all

After a recent attempted theft of my Giant Defy I have now got some nasty scrapes in my nice blue paintwork!
Giant sadly don't do a touch up kit or any paint according to my local Giant store so was wondering if any of you recommended anywhere to buy suitable paint please?
I've tried Halfrauds but there's nothing similar to my shade of blue :(

Thanks

Nail varnish. Tough, big range of colors and will even leave a glossy finish….

As you're in south Gloucestershire, why don't you get in touch with Argos Cycles in Bristol, http://www.argoscycles.com/, they do great paint jobs, so may be able to help with a touch up ?

Craft/hobby stores sell small bottles of paint. Found a perfect match for my Mercian.

Do you need to lacquer over the top of it?

I've emailed them already - I'll let you know what they say

I've used it in the past straight out of the container. No probs at all. Even used it to sort a scratch on a composite front door after the push chair chipped the paint.

Many automotive paint specialists do a colour matching service - simply give paint colour reference (e.g. RAL) take a paint chip, they will analyse and mix an aerosol to match - cost about £15-20 but colour will be perfect - for example:

Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

    Nice one!
  • Touch up paint always looks like shit. Often it looks worse than the scratch
