Who sells tyres unfolded when shipping?

Where can I get tyres delivered without the company folding them over in a figure of 8 and ziptying them together?

That deforms the tyre permanently and makes it wobble, disgraceful practice.

Was looking for Magic Marys.

Thanks.

Nearest place who sells these tyres is probably 70 miles away, I'm specifially asking for places who deliver them.

Thanks for your characteristically useless answer though.

No it doesnt, learn how to fit a tyre properly.

everyone does it because it doesnt make a blind bit of difference to the tyre, if your tyre is genuinely deformed then it will be a manufacturing fault and needs to go back for a refund.

Buy folding tyres if it upsets you so much

Buy folding tyres. The clue is in the name.

    RUBEZ IS BACK!

You should get on your super strong rigid MTB and ride those 70 miles, making sure you take all the rocks you can for extra manliness points.

For those of you that haven't experienced Rubez yet, he will ask an illogical question and berate you for answering with a logical answer.

    Case in point.

I have the option of a refund or pay a little extra for delivery unfolded.

Was a manufacturing defect likelier than defect by prolonged constrainment?

    What do you think?

The possibility of user error exists.

That's where I got them. They only have wire in stock, good to know they exist though - but the folding variation seems to be twice the price

User error is a possibility, but there is a definite visible deformity in the tyres, and after repeated attempts to install the tyre, the outcome is the exact same. So, that is unlikely.

Once again rubes has a problem with something that everyone else gets along with just fine.

You could, of course, dispense with tyres altogether and just run on the rims. Think how much extra control you'd have...

So, no-one has ever had wobbly uneven tyres?

nextdaytyres are sending out a new pair unfolded. Their site looks like shit, but customer service was rapid and obliging.

I prefer to whittle mine out of wood and then cover them in an old innertube for grip, I can get the precise diameter and width I want then too and not have to put up with just a 2.1 or 2.5etc

Please don't go away Rubez, maybe you can build a road bike next? That should be good for a few more threads - weight really helps on downhill rolling speed...

Or maybe discuss the merits of cycle specific clothing? If not, start a few threads in Crudcather.

No - he would want a road bike without drop bars and without gears because they get in the way of pure cycling, but would refuse to look at single speed bikes because that is just a marketing gimmicky term and they should still be called road bikes so they cant be any good. Plus single speed wouldnt be any good for him because he doesnt always want to ride at one speed - he needs to be able to speed up and slow down at times. Plus nobody sells them with square wheels - not sure why as they give you so much more control...
