Ok so I picked up a Giant TCX1 last year both for being generally a bit more 'rufty tufty', than a std. road bike (as I'm a Lardy Lard Ar$3) and also a bit more suitable for a local 'ex-railway' Trail', I know Cool story etc..
anyway..

I had some handbuilts made for the road and now Summers here I want rid of my Crosser interupters as there just isn't enough real estate on the bars for Lights/Garmin bracket etc.

I have had a quick look and decided to save re-taping the bars and new outers I'd fit In-line barrel adjusters between the two sections of outer which will both give me some extra adjustment when changing the wheelsets as well as replacing the fixed adjusters that will be going with the Tektro 721 top levers.

Easy I thought... rather than order online I figured pick them up local, but 5 shops later I still don't have any, and the Jagwire units I liked the look of (having seen online saying comes with 5mm and 4mm outer ferrules for brakes or Gears) only seemed to be labeled and have '4mm' in the packet,

can anyone confirm that the jagwire adjusters are available in 5mm fitment(for brake outers)

I found a different M:part brand in UKcycle, but they seemed a bit long and cumbersome, where as the jagwire looks neat and would 'dissappear'

Sorry for Chapter and verse, Babbling is one of my worst traits  do they definitely come with 5mm? the online page suggests not for use with brakes, yet the instruction pdf says for gears and brakes?

If it's these they are not recommended for brakes :-

I think the forces involved in braking are much more than those involved for shifting gears. I have seen them on bikes for avid brakes, so they must be available :-

I think be carefull and make sure you don't buy ones that are recommended for gear only.

Other option is just use a length of brake cable, although may not look as neat, but you could always bar wrap it.

I did exactly this on my Boardman CX. I removed the interrupter levers and fitted a pair of inline adjusters I had, purely because i didn't want to replace the cable and re-tape the bars.
However, when the time come to replace the cables, I may remove the adjusters which may take a bit of "slack" out of the system.
