Imholz cycles, St Gallen Switzerland, campagnolo, competition (assume that's a reference to 531c) any thoughts on age components, any knowledge of this company? I know they had a team in the 50's.

Tried google and the usual retrobike fora etc...

Has it earned it's stripes? It would appear so... http://www.pantheonbasel.ch/de/carfinder.html?detailUUID=6022849d-b990-4f92-ac7c-e3bb49514053 if you count indoor cycling.

PS You're not going to actually buy it?

He's pretending that he wants to buy it but really he's trying to sell it and wants to know what it's worth :P

I don't think he'll be happy with that, I suspect he was hoping for more.

    :D

    It is not mine.

Not buying or selling, not interested in the value, I was just interested to find out who Imholz Cycles were and I also thought someone here would be able to put an approximate year to it, based on components, which might help with finding out more about the company.

But 3 fiddy sounds fair

Feck off with your sarcasm and tell me from these p-poor photos what type of campagnolo parts are on there and what year you think it might be, or don't you know? :D:D

And yes I know the bike needs to be in a museum, but then again so does my car and me.

Who you calling a 'fecker'?, i'll get the mods on to you.

Croce D'Aune, i'd say early to mid seventies.

Nice frame - lugwork, twin-plate fork crown etc means its definetly worth restoring. Lack of braze-ons and componentry suggests 1970s - you will find a letter stamp on the back of the Campagnolo crank that could help with age identification.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

Yeah it's gonna be a bit of a stretch for me 76cm standover and 53cm top tube.

Still I got some old platforms left over from the 70's :D
