Just thought I'd put up a few pics of my summer bike I'm just about to start riding it again.

Modest by most of the bikes on here :D but never the less still makes me smile and its a lovely ride.

  • That is lovely! Very similar in colour scheme to the Condor which was posted not too long ago. It is such a beautiful combination.

Thanks ! I'm biased of course but I do love the look of it, I've been toying with a Sempre or Oltre but even though they are better bikes to my eye they dont look as good... now if I could maybe get a Androni Sempre I'd be tempted. Been cycling since the late 80's and still like a 'classic' looking bike which I think this is..
  • Classic bikes are awesome! A Androni Sempre would be lovely!

Nicest Bianchi I've seen on here and on the road - chapeau. Until now, to me at least, they have always promised so much but failed ta the last hurdle - that ticks all the boxes. Lovely.

    Very, very nice indeed.

Really nice looking bike. What wheels are those and how do they ride?

The are Flyixx chinese rims on Novatec A291SB / F482SB hubs. Been very happy with them, have had to change the rear bearings after a year but they did get rode in some wet conditions last year. Added some TI/Carbon skewers as the Novatec ones are pretty ugly. They only cost £340 ish so taking that into account I have no complaints. Ride well have stayed true and I'm not a lighweight, so no trobule with handling either.

Lovely looking bike. Often find that bigger frame sizes aren't as easy on the eye as the tiddly bikes, but yours is an exception to that rule.

First Bianchi that has made me look twice. Lovely machine.
  • I didn't realise they were Chinese rims. They look great! Do you have a link to them?
  • Lovely bike! I have just bought an (old) 1885 & am amazed at how nice it is to ride. Previously I had always thought the carbon stays for comfort was just marketing hype.

Deadly, it pulls off the whole celeste look very well :)
Can't imagine they're too common which is always a good thing! :D

Bit disappointed, thought I was going to see a bike from actually 1885. (Yeah, I have my moments) ;)

Thanks for the comments, nice to know other people like it.
Haven't seen another locally so thats a plus plus mine is quite customised. As I said I keep thinking about a jump to a full carbon frame but I cannot fault how this rides and is plenty good enough for me.
1885 is the model number with reference to the year 1885 when Bianchi started.

Just thought i'd put a couple of pics up if how my Bianchi is currently, put on some Campagnolo Bullets a couple of months ago and changed the bar tape to Celeste for a change.

Not sure how much use it will get now till next spring..
